View site #952 > ScoreCard for survey #1
This Scorecard is an assessment of the major issues that may be impacting this particular survey site. Each issue listed on the left is given a grade of None, Low, Medium, or High based on the "PERCEIVED" opinions of the survey team at the time, and on the number of "BIOLOGICAL" indicators counted in the survey. This biological gauge draws upon the entire Reef Check database for the region to determine the grade of performance for the reef site. Grades are calculated by the indicator numbers that can be expected to be seen and the numbers that are actually recorded in the survey.
Clicking on the issue names will take you to a detailed fact-sheet about the issue and how it is impacting coral reefs around the world. These fact-sheets include the "CAUSES" for the impact and what "ACTIONS" people can take to address the issues. They also include references and links to "MORE INFORMATION" about the problem. The perceived and biological grades do not always agree and both should be used in determining conservation and management options, as well as where and when to conduct future Reef Check surveys.
